ABOUT THE ROLE
We are recruiting for a MBBS GP Placements Administrator to join our Primary and Community Care Placements Team in UCL’s Undergraduate Medicine programme (MBBS). This programme aims to qualify distinctive ‘UCL Doctors’ – highly capable, and patient-centred clinicians, equipped to practise medicine in a professional, inclusive, and sustainable way, grounded in science and best practice.
The Primary and Community Care Placements Team is responsible for managing clinical placements, timetables, teaching materials and associated assessments in collaboration with Primary and Community Care Academic Leads and Placement Providers, to ensure the delivery of high quality clinical training aligned with the Intended Learning Outcomes in the MBBS Curriculum Map and the General Medical Council’s Outcomes for Graduates. This particular post supports GP Specialty Placements such as Child Health, Dermatology in Primary Care placements in Year 5 , Student Selected Components in Years 1& 2 and the General Practice Assistantship in Year 6.
The team liaises with the wider MBBS team who contribute to the delivery of this complex programme and with an extensive network of Professional Services, Academic and Clinical staff across UCL and our partner NHS Trusts, Primary Care and Specialist Providers. Placement administrators are student-facing and work collaboratively within and across teams to ensure high quality services to staff and a high quality experience for students.
