Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement personalized activity plans tailored to the needs and interests of residents with dementia and other cognitive or physical limitations - Facilitate engaging recreational and therapeutic activities that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being - Foster a supportive and positive environment that encourages social interaction and independence - Monitor and document residents’ responses to activities, adjusting approaches as needed - Collaborate with care team members to ensure holistic and consistent care for residents - Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting dignity and respect - Assist in creating a warm, inclusive community atmosphere that reflects the values of kindness and compassion Skills and Qualifications: - Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field, preferably with seniors or individuals with dementia - Knowledge of dementia care principles and best practices - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to be patient, empathetic, and creative in engaging residents - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of residents - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or dementia care are a plus At Pineapple House of Sapphire Lakes, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of warmth, kindness, and continuous growth.
