Description
General Description of Position: Follows production schedule and upholsters parts for the boats. Attaches materials to boat parts. Inspects materials for flaws, discoloration or other defects. Handle materials to and from work station.   Duties (Essential): Cutting plastic from patterns; bracing and rigging substrates, operating CNC router. Attaches materials to pre-fabricated boat parts. Inspects materials for flaws and other defects. Keeps records on work performed and defects and repairs as required. Handles materials to and from work station. The following tools and equipment are utilized: air ratchet; screw gun; drill; measuring tape; scissors; staple gun; staple puller; hand tools; glue; and foam. Responsible for clean and orderly work station and for observing safety procedures and precautions. Reports to work on time for designated shift. Required to adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Required to handle, finger and shoot air staple and screw gun in safe/productive manner. Required to handle and safely use knife, scissors and staple puller. Duties (Non-Essential): Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Work Experience One year previous experience preferred. Must be able to read and understand production schedule. Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools, including screw gun, drill, staple gun, etc. Environmental and Working Conditions: Must wear personal protective equipment, including steel toed shoes and safety glasses. Plant environment varies with outside temperature and noise levels vary in different production areas. Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.), with or without accommodation, is required. Normal duties require standing, kneeling, crouching and reaching. Talking, hearing and normal vision are required.    Skills & Aptitudes: Language skills - Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns and the ability to speak conversational English. Reasoning skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products. Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity. 2ND SHIFT- 7:00PM-5:30AM
