Reporting to: Regional Controller

POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Senior Accountant is responsible for all monthly reporting, financial analysis, financial reports and any other periodic activities as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management and accounting practices.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Experience with contract management software and ERP systems, JDE a strong asset.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and ensure proper valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Calculate and record inventory adjustments and write-offs as necessary.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of inventory accounts between the general ledger and inventory management systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
  • Work closely with plants to monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy in stock counts.
  • Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and schedules to facilitate the audit process.
  • Double-check all entered data for accuracy, including customer information, agreements, prices, quantities, and project details.
  • Monitor and analyze costs associated with production and construction projects, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting of expenses.
  • Oversee the month-end close process and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Provide financial analysis to management to support decision-making, including sales profitability assessments.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and recommendations.
