Description
Exercise effective oversight over all aspects of the Business Unit’s operations, including logistics, fleet, commercial activities, and project execution. Provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting on operational performance, financial results, and strategic initiatives to senior management. Establish KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to monitor performance, drive continuous improvement, and support data-driven decision-making. Take full ownership of the financial cost performance, ensuring all Opex and Capex costs are maintained within the approved budget Monitor, analyze, and interpret costs on a systematic basis implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize returns on investment. Lead, manage, and develop employees of the Ops team, building high-performing teams aligned with company values and strategic objectives. Implement talent development, succession planning, and performance management initiatives to ensure long-term organizational capability. Ensure a safe, secure, and inclusive working environment for all employees and stakeholders. Ensure the Company’s Safety Culture is promoted and maintained to the highest possible standards, in all locations, through; • Active engagement with all employees on HSE-related issues • Promoting open dialogue between all employees and departments on means to drive and improve • Participating in & providing input to HSE-related meetings and inspections • Actively promoting the Company’s Control of Work processes and safe working practices SELECTION CRITERIA Minimum Qualifications and Experience • Professional Qualification • Post Graduate Qualification in Management Discipline is desirable • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in large vessel owning organizations • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Ops Manager role • Master experience is highly preferred Job-Specific Skills: • MPP and Heavy Lift Vessel Management • Marine Operating Standards and Requirements • Management Accounting & Cost Control • Professional certifications in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management is desirable • Minimum 5 – 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the maritime and shipping • Proven track record in managing large-scale shipping, cargo transport, or offshore logistics operations across multiple geographies. • Strong experience in fleet and asset management, operational optimization, and the integration of new technologies/digital solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery. • Extensive background in developing and maintaining senior-level client, partner, and stakeholder relationships within the maritime and logistics sector. • Experience working with regulatory frameworks, industry compliance standards, and global safety/environmental practices (e.g., ISM Code, IMO conventions, ISO standards). • Prior exposure to working in emerging markets, joint ventures, or complex international environments is highly desirable.
