OVERVIEW

TruCare Health Services is seeking a Licensed Clinician to serve as our designated Service Order Reviewer and Signatory for Person-Centered Plans (PCPs).
This role is not direct patient care. Instead, it focuses exclusively on ensuring compliance with NC Medicaid and DHHS requirements by reviewing PCPs and providing the required signature confirmation of medical necessity.
Perfect for a clinician seeking flexible supplemental income with minimal time commitment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Active North Carolina license as one of the following:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP – Psychiatric or Family Practice)
  • Psychiatrist (MD/DO)
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD)
  • Medical Doctor (MD – Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine)
  • Current malpractice/liability insurance.
  • Familiarity with NC Medicaid documentation preferred (training provided if needed).
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability in meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Review Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) and confirm medical necessity for Medicaid-funded services.
  • Provide dated signature(s) on PCP Service Order pages (per NC DHHS requirements).
  • Indicate whether direct patient contact occurred and whether clinical assessments were reviewed.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with NC Medicaid and Managed Care Organization (MCO) compliance standards.
  • Collaborate as needed with agency leadership or Qualified Professionals (QPs) to ensure timely completion of PCPs.
