Role description: The Master Data Management (MDM) Governance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of Arcadis’ Master Data Governance Framework as part of the MDM Program. This role assists in monitoring and improving master data quality, facilitating collaboration across teams and ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity of our core master data assets across the Organization. Role accountabilities: The Master Data Governance Specialist is an integral part of the Central MDM team, supporting the MDM BPE in overseeing data governance across various data entities. This role is responsible for ensuring data quality through rigorous monitoring and validation processes, managing data lifecycle and retention activities, and conducting comprehensive data impact assessments and reviews to maintain master data standards. Support MD Governance Framework Implementation Assist the MDM BPE and Framework & Process Lead in the development and implementation of the master data governance framework, including policies, standards and procedures. Help establish master data quality rules and metrics under the direction of the MDM BPE. Support the definition of data ownership, stewardship and accountability roles and responsibilities Master Data Quality Management Conducts analysis and monitoring of data quality of Arcadis’ master data assets, identify areas for improvement and escalate issues when needed. Support the implementation of data cleansing and enrichment strategies as directed by the MDM BPE, Work with the functional teams (Data owners and data stewards) and Tech to help resolve master data quality issues and implement preventive measures, with oversight from MDM BPE. Assist with the development of the Master Data Quality KPIs and defining ways to measure these KPIs. Collaborate with different data entities to identify DQ reports and tool requirements to be incorporated to the MDM solution mandated by the Data Strategy. Assist in Defining MD Standards and Policies Assist in the development and maintenance of MD policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance. Support efforts to ensure consistent application of data standards across Oracle system and MD processes. Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Capabilities Provide inputs and support (e.g., master data review, data impact assessment, testing, etc.) to the functional teams during implementation of their CI initiatives, where master data is a key enabler for their projects. Identify opportunities to leverage MD governance to improve business processes, in collaboration with different domains/data entities and guidance from MDM BPE. Support Data Integration and Migration Participate in the data integration and migration projects, ensuring adherence to data governance policies and standards as guided by the MDM BPE. Support the countries/functions during the validation, review and cleansing of their master data as part of the ERP integration activities. Qualifications & Experience: Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in master data management, data governance, data quality or a related field. Foundational understanding of data governance principles and methodologies. Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of data policies and standards is a plus. Ability to analyse data quality issues and contribute to the solutions. Good analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders. Familiarity with data management tools and technologies (e.g., Oracle, Informatica MDM) is a plus.
