Description We are seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (RN) to join our clinical team in a part-time role averaging 20 hours per week, including every Thursday and Friday. The MDS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring accurate and timely assessments, care planning, and reimbursement optimization. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and complete MDS assessments Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to MDS and documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update comprehensive care plans Monitor clinical documentation to support accurate coding and reimbursement Participate in quality improvement initiatives Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MDS regulations and best practices Schedule Part-time, averaging 20 hours per week Must work every Thursday and Friday Additional hours scheduled as needed to meet assessment timelines Why Join Us? Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine Previous MDS experience required Strong understanding of CMS regulations and reimbursement processes Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
