Key Responsibilities: The MEAL Officer will play a key role in supporting the Philippines Earthquake Response by enhancing the efficiency and accountability of both processes and outputs. This includes working closely with the Programmes team to ensure that accountability standards with communities and donors are met. The role also involves collaborating with the Operations team to analyze assessment findings, maintaining a centralized and reliable information management system that serves as the primary source for all response-related data, and coordinating with the Public Engagement and Field and Emergency Communications teams to provide timely and accurate information for both internal and external communications. This position is for a short engagement period of three (3) months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and resources. Key Responsibilities: Ensure hardcopies of relevant Response documents are organized, properly labelled and secured, and digital copies are available and organized – uploaded in a temporary information management space in either Sharepoint or Microsoft Teams. In coordination with Response Management and the Operations Lead, plan and analyze damage and needs assessment results to inform program designing by the Grants Acquisition and Management. Maintain an updated field report where Response activities are documented which can be used by the Response Manager to provide updates on daily accomplishments, action plan over the next few days, and other challenges that need to be addressed. Meet the Response information needs of the Public Engagement function and Field and Emergency Communications team for external sharing such as but not limited to the creation of Situational Reports and proper captioning of photos. Ensure all feedback received by the Response team are logged and tracked until resolution in the Community Feedback Registry, and be prepared to address any information needs of the community. Ensure that the Operations function establish complaint and feedback mechanisms in the operational areas using context-appropriate mechanisms. Conduct Post Distribution Monitoring and Feedbacking sessions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Management, Social Sciences, or other related fields. At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) roles within humanitarian or development organizations. Strong knowledge and practical skills in MEAL systems and frameworks, including data collection, processing, and analysis, as well as accountability and feedback mechanisms. Must be in good physical and mental health condition to perform field-related tasks. Willing to be assigned or travel within the Municipalities of Bogo, Medellin, and San Remigio, Province of Cebu, Philippines.
