We’re on the lookout for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our Meat Department at Red Barn James Bay. If you’re passionate about food, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.
As a Meat Clerk, you’ll be responsible for handling, preparing, and displaying a variety of meat products. Experience in food service or kitchens is an asset but not required, we’re happy to train the right candidate. There are also opportunities to pick up extra hours in other departments (Deli, Grocery, or Produce) or to grow into a full-time position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for Meat: A genuine interest in different cuts of meat and their preparation.
  • Customer Service Skills: Approachable, friendly, and willing to engage with customers.
  • Physical Stamina: Able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities
  • Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, and package meat according to quality standards.
  • Display and Presentation: Arrange and label meat products in display cases, ensuring freshness and rotation.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and communicate restocking needs.
