DEPARTMENT: Retail OperationsCOMPENSATION: Hourly Pay Range: $16.70 - $21.55 (this pay range represents the rates of pay for step 1 to the maximum step for this position in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. The starting pay for the successful candidate will start at step 1) JOB SUMMARY: Assisting customers with purchases in the meat department, offering preparation and serving suggestions, maintaining stock level in display cases, and processing of meat department products, clean-up and safety and sanitation of equipment and department. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the customer with purchases of products and with other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, cooking procedures, etc. Responsible for wrapping, scaling, trimming, pricing and price changes of all meat department products according to company procedures and policies including customer protection laws and applicable weights and measures regulations Maintains the proper supply of products in the cases and packaged deli through proper rotation and display of product per company standards and schematics Responsible for cleanup of wrapping, scaling, and production equipment according to proper cleaning and sanitation procedures Responsible for maintaining acceptable levels of product preparation, storage, and identification knowledge Orders products and supplies, inventories products and supplies as assigned Other related duties as required REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma is preferred but not required Valid Health Card Ability to read equipment manuals, shelf tags and prices, and labels Must possess efficient hand-eye coordination and be able to perform basic math calculations Ability to use good judgment in dealing with customers and co-workers Must maintain a sense of integrity
Responsibilities
