We are seeking a Meat Production Specialist to join our team and help manage the production process from start to finish. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to quality control and inventory management. This position requires strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Meat Production Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring that all production goals are met in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers in the store and remain observant.
  • Meet customer requests by providing excellent customer service.
  • Work towards learning product location, description and ingredients.
  • Learn procedures offered for sale in Meat Department.
  • Transport storage stock to stock areas.
  • Stock store shelves as per tag allocations.
  • Support building store displays and unloading merchandise.
  • Rotate perishable merchandise and pull out-of-code product.
  • Check meat and seafood products rotation paying attention to expired stock.
  • Ensure neat appearance as per company’s dress code policy.
  • Clean and ensure meat preparation room sanitation.
  • Ensure that production processes are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed in the production area.
  • Perform quality checks on products.
  • Train new employees on production processes and procedures.
  • Document and report any issues with production processes or equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Ability to work at a consistent pace throughout the day
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated and team oriented
  • Works in a Safe and responsible manner
  • Must be available to work on weekends, day shifts, and night shifts
  • Constant lifting and carrying of less than 10 pounds
  • Constant standing
  • Constant reaching below shoulder level
  • Constant gripping and use of production materials
  • Occasional bending and twisting
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds including waist level and low level lifts

Ability to handle a cool working environment of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
