Culinary Assistant (Meat Gourmet) Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $17.75 to $21.00 depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older Position Description: The Meat Gourmet Culinary Assistant mixes and prepares the full range of gourmet meat items according to established standards and recipes. Team members work safely and adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards to provide customers with the highest quality gourmet products. Your day-to-day: Mix and prepare all gourmet meat products using established recipes Examine cases and prepare production plan based on item priority , being mindful of high sales volume products Maintain, fill and rotate products for quality, freshness, and proper dates Gather necessary ingredients based on determined production needs, being mindful of seasonal items Wrap and label product Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions Ensure work area is clean and ingredients are put away at end of shift Adhere to all health, sanitation and safety regulations Assist in other duties, as assigned Qualifications: 18 years of age or older Entry level position; no experience Safely use/operate knives, hand chopper, mixer, cube steak machine and meat wrapper Basic computer skills Great customer service Good oral communication skills What you bring to the team: Great work ethic Problem solver Self-motivator Flexible Honest Working Conditions: The temperature in the department is colder than room temperature due to the products being highly perishable The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing and pulling with a maximum of 25 lbs. and occasionally climbing and reaching.
