Who we are:   Co-op does business differently.  As a co-operative, we believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth.  To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.wildrosecoop.crs.   What you’ll do:   The successful candidate will be responsible for the following (and other duties as required): * Providing customers with excellent, efficient, courteous service * Provide a neat, clean, fresh and well merchandised department * All duties associated with inventory stocking and taking inventory counts * Compliance with government standards and regulations that apply to the Killam store * Complete up-to-date in-house training and certifications via e-learning courses  * Alert for the unauthorized removal of merchandise and equipment * Ensure the quality and condition of all merchandise meets the store’s standards. * Follow all cleaning and maintenance schedules. * Compliance with all Safety policies and procedures and look out for the safety of others * Adhere to all Wild Rose Co-op policies and procedures * Using machinery and specialized tools to cut variety of meat products * Taking and preparing customer orders for special cuts * Preparing fresh ground meat, sausage making   This position requires the use of computers, as well as heavy lifting of products.   Why it matters: Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Candidates will demonstrate the following:   * Understanding of our Values (Teamwork, People, Excellence, Community) * Committed to providing excellent customer service to our member-owners as well as internal customers * Quality communication skills * Ability to work days, evenings and weekends * Lifting up to 50lbs is required   This position will report to the Meat Manager   This is a part-time position based on 32 hrs/week, the successful candidate will have the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends.
