Description

At The Wild Hog, our butchery counter is one of our biggest attractions, drawing customers from near and far with our extensive selection of quality meats and expert advice. We’re currently looking for enthusiastic new team members to join us at our fresh meat, deli, and cheese counter.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in meat or deli is a plus, but not required
  • A genuine interest in meat and a willingness to learn is essential
  • We’ll train you – this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your knowledge of the meat industry, learn about different cuts, and become confident in making recommendations to our customers

Responsibilities

You’ll be working both front-of-house and behind the scenes, with responsibilities that include:

  • Serving customers by weighing and packaging their chosen product.
  • Assisting customers by slicing deli meats and cheese, weighing, packaging, and labeling their selections
  • Preparing meat products such as schnitzel, kebabs, and other specialty items
  • Packaging and labeling products for our shelves
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable service and eventually being able to confidently answer customer questions about cuts of meat and cooking advise
