We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Meat Cutter to join our team as the department shift lead. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and handling, with a strong focus on meat cutting techniques. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to food safety standards, and excellent customer service skills. As the Lead Meat Cutter, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality meat products are prepared and presented for our customers, setting production schedules for your team, work closely with the General Manager to hit purchasing, labor and sales goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in food production or handling, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting.
• Strong knife skills with the ability to cut various types of meat accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Leadership experience and or previous supervisor experience.
• Basic knowledge of POS and technology software.

• Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications and customer requests.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as knives, saws and grinders safely and efficiently.
• Package meat products for display or sale while ensuring proper labeling and storage.
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines and sanitation standards throughout the cutting process.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations regarding meat products.
• Utilize our software programs for production and order needs.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Taking inventory and ordering through our approved purveyors.
• Meeting quarterly purchasing and labor goals with potential bonus incentives.
