  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry all items up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Steel-toed boots required

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all varieties and cuts of meat
  • Moving meat from freezers to cutting area
  • Cut, trim, and portion meat products according to required specifications and store standards
  • Maintain a high level of skill and precision in meat cutting techniques, including slicing, dicing, etc.
  • Ensure all cuts of meat meet quality standards for freshness and appearance
  • Utilize proper equipment such as knives, saws, and meat grinders to perform cutting tasks safely and efficiently
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with manager to ensure adequate stock of meat products
  • Follow food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean a sanitary work environment
  • Assist customers with product selection, providing information about different products and cuts of meat
  • Package and label meat products appropriately, including pricing and expiration date information
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, sanitation, and customer service
  • Work efficiently to meet production goals and minimize waste
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by the meat room manager or store management
