A mechanic's job involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles or equipment through tasks like oil changes, brake fixes, and engine work. It also includes using diagnostic tools and physical skills to solve mechanical and electrical problems, ensuring safety and performance, and communicating issues to customers while keeping detailed records. Mechanics handle routine maintenance, complex repairs, and sometimes custom work on vehicles. What You Will Do: · Use computerized equipment and experience to identify vehicle problems. · Perform mechanical inspections and basic to moderate repairs on auction vehicles · Diagnose drivability issues, safety concerns, and mechanical failures · Assist with preparing vehicles for sale—including quick fixes and test drives · Collaborate with the inspection and reconditioning teams to meet deadlines · Keep repair documentation clear and complete. · Perform other duties as necessary. Requirements Qualifications: 2+ years of mechanical experience required (auction, dealership, or fleet a big plus!
