Description Job Summary: The Mechanic supports auction operations by performing mechanical inspection, maintenance, and repair of company vehicles, equipment, and facility-related mechanical systems as assigned. This role helps ensure operational readiness, safety, and reliability of vehicles and equipment used in auction activities. The Mechanic performs diagnostic assessments, preventive maintenance, and minor to moderate repairs while maintaining compliance with safety procedures and operational standards. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs mechanical inspections and maintenance on company vehicles and operational equipment. Diagnoses mechanical issues and completes minor to moderate repairs in accordance with safety standards. Conducts preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability. Maintains service records, inspection documentation, and repair logs accurately. Identifies safety concerns or mechanical risks and reports findings to management promptly. Supports troubleshooting of mechanical systems related to facility or operational equipment as assigned. Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition. Follows established safety procedures when working with tools, vehicles, and mechanical components. Coordinates with supervisors regarding repair priorities and parts or supply needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of mechanical systems and repair techniques. Applies strong attention to detail and safety awareness when working with equipment. Communicates clearly with supervisors and operations staff regarding maintenance needs. Uses hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Demonstrates ability to prioritize repair tasks and respond to urgent issues. Works independently while supporting team-based operational needs. Maintains reliability, accountability, and professionalism. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred. At least 2 years of experience in mechanical repair, vehicle maintenance, or equipment servicing. Experience in automotive, industrial, fleet, or facility maintenance environments preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor operational environments.
