Job Description Job Role: Mechanic Job Location: Saint Helena, CA 94574 Type: Contract Description: Must have DL; General maintenance experience; including but not limited to: minor plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC upkeep; provide support to special events. complete work orders in a timely. Job Summary: Assists in the performance of duties necessary to keep the facilities' vehicles and equipment in reliable operation and in good repair. Performs a variety of routine general and preventative maintenance duties. Maintains required records. Licenses/Certifications: Valid Drivers License (DL) and must be at least 21 yrs of age or older Department Specific License/Certifications: Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) Must have experience: • Perform routine inspections of buildings grounds, and Equipment • Complete work orders (repairs, adjustments, replacements) in offices and common areas • Patch walls, sand, and paint surfaces as needed • Replace light bulbs, fuses, and perform minor electrical repairs • Unclog drain, fix leaky faucets, and handle other minor plumbing issues • Assemble, move and repair office furniture and fixtures • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment • Maintain clean and safe work Ares: remove trash and debris from maintenance spaces • Monitor and report any safety hazards or major repair needs to supervisor • Assist with HVAC filter changes and basic upkeep • Check and restock supplies (light bulbs, batteries, filters, tools, cleaning materials) • Provide basic support for special events (setup, takedown, moving equipment) • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance request Education: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Essential Functions: Plans and performs a wide variety of routine general mechanical repairs and services. Performs alteration and repairs of vehicles or equipment in accordance with basic skills and abilities, standard procedures, diagrams or manufacturers instructions. Inspects and performs preventative maintenance and safety tests as required. Corrects problems encountered and/or promptly reports equipment/system operation problems to the supervisor. Appropriately contacts outside service assistance for major equipment failure beyond employee's skill level. Maintains a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted. Maintains preventative maintenance records, reports and files as required. Maintains tools and supplies necessary to perform duties. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
