Description
Description Assist with minor and major truck and trailer repairs. Help mechanics perform maintenance and repairs such as oil changes, checks tires and brakes, and engage in other similar tasks. Assist mechanics with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights. Collaborate with operators and managers to diagnose problems with equipment and plan repairs. Assist with regular diagnostic tests on equipment. Test drives vehicles to ensure repairs are completed property. Maintain cleanliness of the shop and return tools to proper location. Maintain, order, and pick up parts and other shop inventory. Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on equipment. Performs other operational duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience preferred. Knowledge of vehicle repair. Excellent mechanical skills. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to use power and hand tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read service and repair manuals.
