REQUIREMENTS

• Certifications in areas of safety and equipment operation - including WHMIS, CPR, First AID, etc.
• Must possess a valid G Class License with a clean driving abstract.
• College Diploma, Apprenticeship, University Degree, or equivalent is considered an asset.
• Experience working on small engines is considered an asset.
• Possess 310S Mechanic Certification, Small Engine Technician or equivalent experience is considered an asset.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of computer software including MS Word, MS Excel, Fleetio (Fleet Management Software), & LMN.
• Excellent working knowledge of fleet equipment and the maintenance of vehicles and , snow and mowing equipment.
• Willingness to teach and learn from others.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Experience:

• Mechanic: 1 year (preferred

• Assist mechanic conducting “in house” repairs to equipment and vehicles to maintain properly functioning fleet.
• Assist crews with equipment service issues during the morning start time or end of day return.
• Determine which repair tasks must be outsourced.
• Drop off and pick up equipment and/or vehicles at third party locations.
• Ordering and receiving repair parts and maintaining proper inventory.
• Maintaining a preventative maintenance program on all vehicles and equipment.
• Maintaining equipment service logs with documentation of task, odometer reading, hour meters, and actual service performed along with detailed notes of the repair or service performed.
• Provide annual audit of all trucks and equipment to provide odometer/hour meter readings on, or about, November 1st of each year.
• Keep shop area swept clean and organized, and stocked with inventory.
• Lock up the shop and secure all tools each evening before departing for the day.
• Other duties to be assigned by management and mechanic.
  This is a full-time position paying an hourly wage of $22.00-$27.00 per hour. The pay rate depends on experience and qualifications.
