We are currently looking to hire our next great team members for the position of shop mechanics located in our new Dartmouth Nova Scotia location

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our shop mechanics’ position is to utilize there mechanic expertise to support the needs of the branch and in the field in a safe and professional manner. Our team of professional’s will work to keep all company owned and customers equipment in peak running condition through a preventative maintenance and detailed repair schedule.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to read and understand schematics of equipment for proper repairs, ability to read and understand warning labels on various types of equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • First in class customer service skill.
  • Understand the importance of time management skills.
  • Able to work independently or in a team setting.
  • Must posses solid written and verbal communication skills and able to perform basic computer skills required for the position.

Responsibilities
  • Follow consistent and regular OEM schedule of repairs to various types of machinery.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot, all fuel type systems, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct all PM service requirements.
  • Replace assorted parts on boom lifts, telehandlers and scissor lifts.
  • Diagnoses problem areas for potential wear and tear on equipment.
  • Maintain work area in a organized and clean manner at all times.
  • Follow all company and site safety procedures while in the branch and on customers sites.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
