We believe in the power of collaboration and mutual support. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate must be able to perform all standard truck repairs in addition to identifying and troubleshooting vehicle issues. The mechanic will be required to work with their own tools. Job Classification: Full-time non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Location: Conroe, TX Pay Range: $25 to $35 Responsibilities: * Repair Class 4,5,6,7 and 8 International trucks including engines (Cummins, International, and Ford F250-F750), HVAC, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, and other components. * Diagnosing failures of all makes vehicles to disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary. * Computer-based diagnostics; interface with modern truck programs. * Basic computer skills needed for data entry into maintenance systems. * Identify warrant-able International and branded truck repairs and document on the repair order. * Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles as required. * Other duties assigned per supervisor. Qualifications/Requirements: * Proven experience as a Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience * Background working knowledge of Navistar International trucks, Ford Super Duty, and Cummins engines preferred. * ASE certifications preferred. * Cummins/ OEM Manufacturer Certifications preferred. * 609 Air Conditioning/Refrigerant handling certification preferred. * Understanding of electrical systems * Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems * Bilingual is a plus (written and spoken English and Spanish) * Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components * Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues * Attention to detail * Good communication skills * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Valid Driver’s License. * Ability to lift 50 lbs. * Excellent communication skills. * Team-oriented mentality. * Own set of tools and toolbox to perform vehicle repairs preferred. * Excellent learning capabilities to learn new skills as necessary. * Minimum age 23 yrs. old (per Company insurance) * Available to work 40 hours per week. * Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical exam.
