Description
Description We are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Diagnose and repair Class 8 heavy-duty diesel trucks Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services on rear loaders, front loaders, roll-offs, tractors, and box trucks Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Diagnose and repair equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and wheel loaders Complete truck overhauls and rebuilds of retired units Perform welding and metal fabrication as needed (welding experience preferred but not required) Assist with general asset maintenance as required Occasionally respond to road calls for on-site repairs Accurately complete and review maintenance paperwork Ensure all work is performed in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies. Qualifications: 2–5 years of truck repair experience Experience working with Mack, Kenworth, and Peterbilt trucks Skilled in diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and ABS systems Must have own tools CDL Class B license is a plus High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to troubleshoot and analyze component parts and systems on trucks and tractor-trailers Welding experience preferred Must be able to work the afternoon / 2nd shift Comfortable working in all weather conditions and in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs. or more Strong mechanical aptitude Able to work under moderate supervision and follow through on tasks Benefits: Each full-time eligible employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Vol Life Insurance and STD.
