JOB SUMMARY

We are a well-established tree surgery business based in the Cheltenham area and we are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team to help maintain our fleet of approx. 14 vehicles and other machinery used within the tree surgery and forestry industry.
The candidate must be able to service and make repairs and fit parts to various machines including vans, tractors, Merlo, diggers and forestry equipment. also do regular maintenance to our articulated lorry and lorry chipper, and tree surgery equipment, such as chippers, chainsaws etc.
Possible welding at times.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, demonstrating the ability to diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and performance of our equipment and vehicles, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment is essential.
• Knowledge of various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
