Council is seeking a qualified Mechanic to join the Workshop Team at Forbes Shire Council
Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman, the aim of this position is to undertake the effective and efficient maintenance and repair of Forbes Shire Council and Rural Fire Service (RFS) fleet and vehicles and mechanical plant and other contracted services to provide a safe and efficient and sustainable fleet for the Shire.
Working both independently and as part of the Fleet, Depot and Stores Team, you will work to achieve timely and appropriate outcomes on an exciting range of projects.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to work on-call and afterhours. Penalties and benefits will apply in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
