Our Technical Operations team is full of aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that help make sure they’re well taken care of and ready to get our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair and complete preventative maintenance on Ground Service Equipment (both motorized and non-motorized) Work will include diagnostic testing and repair of gas engines, transmissions, suspension and brake systems Troubleshooting and repair of diesel engines, heavy industrial equipment, including large aircraft air conditioners, air start and ground electrical power units Climbing and working from ladders, and/or walking for extended periods of time Moderate lifting Work may be performed on the ramp (terminal or hangar area), or other outdoor and indoor airport areas where employees may be exposed to a wide variety of weather conditions, noise and fumes for extended periods Indoor work may require exposure to noise, ground equipment and machinery, and exposure to chemical and petroleum fuel fumes Demonstrate working knowledge of basic shop safety rules and procedures Ground Equipment Mechanics must be able to work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditions Related experience is a plus Ground Service Equipment Technicians are represented by the Union del Personal de Entes Privados (UPADEP) Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. Qualifications What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent Trade School completion Must possess a valid driver's license 2 years of experience with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of gas and diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, and motorized equipment Ability to work any shift assigned (nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed) within 24/7 operation Computer experience for input and retrieval of data Ability to climb and work from ladders, and/or walk for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions Ability to work in an environment with exposure to high noise levels Moderate lifting Hold a valid passport Must be able to acquire a visa for travel to United States Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position Must be legally authorized to work in Argentina for any employer without sponsorship Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications): Certificate of completion from an accredited automotive school Experience with motorized equipment supporting airport ground operations
