MECHANIC HEAVY DUTY Our London branch is a busy, team-oriented shop in our Southwest region that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. Our service team is critical to the success of our customer relationships. Wage: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour Key Responsibilities: * Maintain a clean and organized work station; * Troubleshoot and estimate costs of repairs; * Verify and inspect rental equipment to ensure proper functioning and to detect faults and avoid malfunctions; * Adjust equipment and repairs or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools; * Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure manufacturers' specifications compliance; * Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on equipment; * Service attachments and working tools; * Order parts as needed; * Complete different service reports. Key Qualifications: * An experienced technician, or 2nd/3rd year apprentice with the ability to diagnose, perform failure analysis, and repair of Large booms, Scissors, and Telehandlers; * Existing knowledge of Aerial and Material Handling Electrical and Hydraulic and Powertrain systems; * Hands on experience in the repair and service/maintenance requirements for various types of booms, scissors and telehandler type equipment; * Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards; * Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere; * Good communication and people skills; * Strong time management and organizational skills; * Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area; * All other duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman and Service Manager; * Flexible work schedule available; * All other duties as assigned by the Branch & Service Managers. Additional Qualifications and Skills: * Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently; * The ideal candidate will have previous experience with Genie, Cat, JLG, MEC, Snorkel and Skyjack Equipment; * Apprentices are encouraged to apply; * Your own tools are required.
