We are looking for a Mechanic to ensure that all our equipment, vehicles, and machinery operate efficiently and reliably. This role is essential to maintaining the tools and machines that power our operations, including small engines, fleet vehicles, and farm equipment.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We’re looking for a skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy, medium, and small engine equipment in our on-site shop and occasionally in the field.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic working with heavy, medium, and small engine equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and reading technical manuals.
  • Strong attention to detail with problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Physically capable of lifting at least 50 lbs repeatedly during a shift.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Flexible availability, including occasional weekend work.
  • Commitment to workplace safety.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on landscaping, agricultural, and construction equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to maximize equipment performance.
  • Assemble new equipment for sales and customer orders.
  • Inspect and test engines; run diagnostic tests to identify and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate service, repair, and maintenance records in our ERP system.
  • Communicate additional repair needs to sales staff and/or customers.
  • Order, receive, and manage parts inventory.
  • Work collaboratively to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times.
