As a Mechanic, you’ll repair and overhaul gas turbine engine components and parts. What you’ll do: Disassembling aircraft engine components Cleaning parts using solvents or ultrasonic cleaners Reassembly using hand tools and torque wrenches Reading and interpreting maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, and repair schemes Understanding part tolerances, limits, and wear inspections Helping with incoming inspection of parts (visual, dimensional) Documenting repairs and maintenance performed in work orders Tracking parts using in-house software (SA Menu) Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Being introduced to brazing (applying brazing materials to join metal components through setting up and operating brazing machines; not limited to reading blueprints, preparing parts, and ensuring quality through inspection and testing) Other duties as assigned; not limited to cleaning work areas and tools, organizing components for reassembly and helping manage spare parts and tooling Position Requirements: 1+ years of experience in the aviation field or any related functions that pertain to this role’s duties Mechanically inclined: Previous experience using hand and/or power tools Previous experience working with technical drawings or work instructions Ability to lift up to 50 LBS without assistance Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Preferred Characteristics: Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions Attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures Exposure to aerospace manufacturing or maintenance environments Ability to work in a team and take direction Flexible with shift work or overtime Benefits that make life better: Comprehensive Healthcare 401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vested Paid Time Off starting on day one Bonus opportunities Health- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Short- & Long-Term Disability Life & AD&D Insurance Learning & Training opportunities #LI-KC1
