THE ROLE We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Leader to oversee the operations of our workshop. The ideal candidate will coordinate a team of mechanics, establish repair priorities, manage spare parts and stocks, and maintain budgetary control, all while upholding high standards of quality and safety. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a team of mechanics, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews. Provide hands-on guidance and training to ensure team members develop technical skills and adhere to company standards. Plan, prioritize, and oversee campervan repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Act as the primary point of contact for escalated technical issues or complex repairs. Monitor stock levels of tools, spare parts, and consumables, ensuring availability to meet operational needs. Coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement and negotiate cost-effective purchasing agreements. Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 5+ years of experience in the field (traineeship included); Education or certified training in mechanics, mechatronics technical or a similar program in the automotive industry Proven experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in campervans or similar vehicles. Available to work weekends and holidays Valid Driver’s License English proficiency, and good communication skills Available to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive repairs; THE INDIE COMMITMENT!
