FSM Group, LLC, an aviation fuel management company with multiple locations in the US, has an immediate need for multiple Mechanic positions for ground services equipment maintenance at its JFK airport operation. The Mechanic position's primary responsibility is to ensure a variety of ground services equipment are operational on an ongoing basis and meet safety requirements. Ground services equipment include, but are not limited to, fuel carts, hydrant trucks, luggage tugs, deicing trucks, and catering trucks. Essential Duties: Preventative and routine repair services. Coolant and fluid checks. Brake checks and tire changes. Troubleshooting and diagnostics. Repairs and refurbishments of equipment. Conduct safety checks on service equipment. Other duties as assigned. Learn more at fsmgroup.us Requirements Minimum Requirements: 1-2 years of mechanical experience of any kind (preferably auto mechanic, box truck, HVAC, refrigeration systems, etc.) Mechanical minds who enjoy problem-solving General knowledge of carburetors, alternators, starter motors, batteries, hydraulics, small engines, radiators, and diesel engines At least 18 years of age A valid U.S. Driver's License Must be able to pass a federal fingerprint background check Have proof of U.S work eligibility Mechanics are required to bring their own set of basic tools (wrenches, ratchets, socket sets, screwdrivers, power tools, Allen wrenches, and voltmeter). Specialty tools will be provided by the Company.
