Job Description Pay Rate: $24.70 Per Hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs routine chick hatchery equipment maintenance. Operation of all hatchery equipment so that production is maintained at maximum output. Direct preventative maintenance activities in the hatcheries. Responsible for parts inventory control. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. Daily contact with management and other hatchery personnel. Train and lead lower-level C and Training Mechanics as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Must have minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience. Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Must be able to work with minimal supervision while planning and directing preventative maintenance activities. Exhibit the ability to troubleshoot incubation and hatching equipment Must be able to maintain a parts inventory and organization. Must be able to maintain good attendance. Must be able to prioritize daily tasks. Must have good communication skills, with ability to speak, read and write in English. Must be able to repeatedly lift 40 pounds and to move 1500-pound racks through the hatchery. Must adhere to safe work practices. Ability to work various shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
