Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Mechanic in joining our Workshop team on a permanent full-time basis. With robust on the job training and mentoring, you proactively build upon your existing industry experience with this unique opportunity. You will be working as a valued team member responsible for the effective maintenance and repairs of Council’s diverse vehicle and plant fleet. Our Workshop team carries out maintenance and servicing, scheduled and un-scheduled repairs, fabrication and registration inspections on a wide variety of heavy and light vehicles, trailers, major plant equipment and small plant items.
We have 1x vacancy based in our afternoon shift crew. Please see hours of work below. This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off every second Friday.

Afternoon Shift –

  • 2:00pm to 11:00pm (Monday - Thursday)
  • 9.00am to 5.30pm (Friday alt to RDO)
