JOB DESCRIPTION

ADS drilling are one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of subcontract drilling services within the ground investigation industry as part of continued growth we are looking for a highly-dedicated mechanic/ Plant Fitter to join our growing family business. You will liaise with the directors and site crews to develop and execute both planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenance on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proven track record in the field of plant maintenance, diesel mechanical engineering or agricultural maintenance, and will be instrumental in caring for the fleet of drilling rigs, tracked dumpers, compressors and specialist plant which operate from our bases near both Leicester and Newton Abbot, Devon.

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Full UK Driving License, Category B (Car) but Category C1 is desirable.
• CSCS Card
• NVQ in related discipline
• PTS (Personal Track Safety)

• Ensure plant maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the daily check sheets received.
• Develop and maintain planned service schedule.
• Attend sites to rectify issues and perform reactive maintenance.
• Prepare and assist with the loading and unloading of plant and equipment
• Assist LOLER inspectors and support contribute to company LOLER database.
• Maintain supply of parts and consumables for both van and yard.
• Take pride in your work and ensure that plant and machinery is in the best possible condition.
