We only hire great people — and we treat them like the partners they are. What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, and repair. Keep Ryan's vehicles and equipment running at peak performance — performing maintenance inspections, diagnosing issues, and executing repairs with precision. Manage the fleet. Monitor inventory, maintain accurate equipment and vehicle maintenance records, and enter data into Fleetio and Asset Tiger daily. Coordinate with vendors. Communicate with outside vendors on specialized repairs and ensure work is completed on time and to standard. Be the internal expert. Interact with internal clients daily, communicating repair timelines, maintenance expectations, and solutions to problems as they arise. Train and coach. Share your expertise with field associates and new team members — passing on best practices in equipment maintenance, care, and safety. Think ahead. Provide feedback and input on capital equipment planning to help departments stay ahead of their needs. Keep learning. Commit to ongoing on-the-job and classroom training to stay sharp and continue growing your skills. Requirements 4+ years of mechanic experience Comprehensive knowledge of equipment preventative maintenance and repairs Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment Ability to weld and perform minor fabrication Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in tight spaces in and under vehicles Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Excellent verbal and written communication skills A team-first attitude with the ability to work independently when needed Why Ryan Lawn & Tree?
