Position Summary: As the mechanic at Salsbery you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety if landscape and grounds maintenance equipment (gas and diesel) including lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, small engines, trucks, and other vehicles. This role ensures that all equipment is in optimal working condition to support daily operations of the landscape company, minimizing downtime and ensuring safety standards are met. Position Responsibilities: As the mechanic your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform regular inspections, tune-ups, and maintenance on all landscape equipment and vehicles. Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs on equipment, small engines, trucks, trailers, and other machinery. Order and maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance and repair tasks. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory. Ensure all repairs meet company safety standards and regulatory compliance. Provide on-site support to teams when equipment breaks down in the field. Position Requirements/Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification or training in small engine or mechanical systems preferred. Experience with landscape maintenance equipment and vehicles. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both small engines and vehicles. Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines. Valid drivers license and ability to drive company vehicles. Ability to lift heavy objects. Work may involves frequent standing, bending, and working in various outdoor conditions. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends, as needed.
