Requirements What you will be doing as a Mechanic: Perform complex vehicle systems diagnostics utilizing logic, test procedures, electronic scan tools, scopes, and other tools. Provide consistent, reliable and accurate vehicle repair recommendations. Perform complex and in-depth repairs with confidence and proficiency on all vehicle systems, such as timing belts, head gaskets, intake manifolds, major and minor component replacements on vehicle A/C, ignition, electrical, emissions, exhaust, heating, cooling, engine, drive train, and all other vehicle systems. Perform any mechanical repair on vehicles in the “A,” “B,” and “C” skill ranges as specified by the All-Data resource guide. Inspect vehicles using inspection forms, report potential repairs to supervisor, compile repair estimates, and secure customer approval to perform repairs. Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks. Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to; rim clamp machine, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks, and parts washer. Remove, install, rotate, balance, and perform flat repairs. Reset TPMS when needed. Inspect tread depth, air pressure, and carcass for defects, for every tire that comes through, and recommend corrective action. Mentor other techs when possible. Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks. Perform general housekeeping duties. Performing other duties as assigned
