HEAD MECHANIC – SUNBURY, VIC

Position Summary: We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Head Mechanic to lead our automotive service team in Sunbury. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise with workshop management, ensuring high-quality service and operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Certificate III or IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a motor mechanic role, with leadership exposure
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license (manual preferred)
• Roadworthy inspection certification (preferred but not essential)

• Manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment
• Liaise with customers to explain repairs and provide cost estimates
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
• Maintain service records and job documentation
• Coordinate with suppliers for parts and service contracts
