Description Summary: The role of the Mechanic Technician is to assist in the repair and diagnoses of on farm machinery at the direction of the Farm Supervisor and Repair and Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities: Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues on farm machinery, such as tractors, vehicles, harvesters, etc. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all farm related equipment as instructed and or needed. Perform major repairs, fabrications and overhauls of equipment as required with direction and support from your supervisor and team members. Proficient and knowledgeable in the use of hand tools and power tools required to complete all tasks assigned. Complete required paperwork, such as daily reports, service/repair records, invoices, and time records in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety and PPE guidelines Responsible for the proper care and security of all tools used and or provided. The ability to professionally communicate with vendors to order and obtain parts and supplies as directed or needed. Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
