Role: Mechanic/Vehicle Technician
Location: Skipton
Hours: 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am - 12.30pm on Saturday
Salary: £16.83 per hour
This role is a temporary to permanent position.
Taskmaster are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join a well-established Motor Company in Skipton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and machinery to ensure safety and optimal performance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

¨ Inspect vehicles and machines to identify issues and perform diagnostic tests
¨ Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension systems, and other mechanical components
¨ Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks
¨ Use manual and power tools to complete repairs efficiently and safely
¨ Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs
¨ Communicate clearly with customers and/or service advisors about vehicle issues and repair timelines
¨ Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
¨ Keep the work area clean and organised
¨ Stay current on industry trends, tools, and techniques through ongoing training
