Description

Multi Trades Recruitment are looking for a Multiskilled Shift Technician / M&E Maintenance Engineer to join our shift operations team at a well respected office site based in central London.
You will play a vital role in maintaining the electrical and mechanical building services within the site. This role requires a proactive approach to planned maintenance and reactive help desk requests to ensure continuous and effective operation of all systems.

PERSONAL QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Building Services industry.
  • C&G Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in electrical services/maintenance (primary bias).
  • C&G Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in mechanical services/maintenance (desirable).
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation competency required.
  • HV Authorised Person Certificate and experience (desirable).
  • Recognised training or apprenticeship.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff.
  • Technical competence in UPS, generators, static switches, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
  • Proactive, reliable, and conscientious.
  • Willingness to attend on- and off-site training as required.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain site Electrical & Mechanical systems in accordance with industry codes and best practices.
  • Ensure all PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) tasks are completed effectively and on time.
  • Carry out reactive maintenance and address electrical equipment issues as they arise.
  • Maintain accurate records in the computer-based PPM system.
  • Identify and rectify faults in HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
  • Assist in the installation and modification of site electrical/mechanical services.
  • Support SORC in LV/HV switching requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding plant status, isolations, ongoing works, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure all necessary parts are ordered accurately, reporting any difficulties to the SORC.
  • Maintain workshops, plant areas, and rest areas to the highest housekeeping standards.
