JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our dynamic team. The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of air conditioning units, focusing on constructing frames using mechanical fixings and pipe fitting according to pipe schematics.
This role requires precision, technical expertise, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to ensure high-quality assembly that meets performance and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of a refrigeration system is an advantage but not essential.
  • Be capable of working unsupervised & able to use initiative.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of refrigeration systems
  • Proven track record of working with quality initiatives.
  • Be able to work to mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble frames for air conditioning units using mechanical fixings.
  • Assemble water pipe circuits.
  • Read and interpret pipe schematics, technical drawings, and assembly blueprints to guide frame construction and pipe fitting processes.
  • Install mechanical components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans, and filters.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete assembly tasks.
  • Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet required standards.
  • Maintain an organised and clean workspace within the warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve assembly processes and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process, providing solutions as needed.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
