We are part of the Express Engineering Group who employ more than 300 employees across the two companies, Express Engineering (Gateshead) and Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech).
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team.

THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

• Undertaking assembly/fitting tasks, following and adhering to customer procedures and specifications
• Pressure Test and Flush various hydraulic systems and actuators using cleanliness standards and incorporate results into customer reports
• Supporting valve function testing on hydraulic actuators
• Having a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment
• Being flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements
• Willing to pass on your knowledge and train others
  As with all positions, due to the nature and varying demands of our business, the responsibilities and tasks are not limited to this overview and may change to meet future demands.
  You will be working a two-shift pattern including night shift which attracts an allowance of 29.25% of basic rate per hour. Overtime is paid at time and half.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN ROLE AT EXPRESS ENGINEERING, YOU WILL BE EXPERIENCED IN:

• General assembly/fitting work, following and adhering to customer procedures.
• Working on hydraulic sub-sea actuators
• Hydrostatic pressure testing
• Gas Testing
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
• Be time served or have equivalent demonstratable experience within a similar role
