JOB DESCRIPTION for:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to visually track details and discover defects in products.
  • Be able to do the same type of work for extended periods of time.
  • Have an aptitude for hands on and mechanical work.
  • Have a desire and willingness to learn and master new tasks and skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP software.
  • 1-3 years of Mechanical Assembly experience.

Responsibilities
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual (Doc# 50226)
  • Adhering to the codes of the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Adhering to the expectations as outlined in the general and position specific expectation documents as applicable.
  • Continually demonstrate, promote, and be a cheerleader for the company’s Core Values.
  • Maintaining a reasonable work environment and providing adequate safeguards for the work-related health and safety of employees. This includes ensuring the area complies with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified.
  • Study, read and understand blueprints and any other documents to gather information regarding parts, fixtures, tools/tooling etc.
  • Utilize work orders (Travelers) and associated documentation to complete work in accordance with engineering requirements outlined therein to ensure work meets all customer, quality, and industry standards as per the company Quality System.
  • Learn and use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices to perform regular testing and inspection procedures to ensure parts meet specifications as required per applicable documentation.
  • Learn and use presses, drills, specialized tooling and other equipment and tools as necessary to install bushings, rivets, nuts bolts and any other hardware and components as required.
  • Handle, use and apply paints, sealants and adhesives as needed/required to complete work while maintaining safe use and disposal practices including PPE as required by SDS sheets.
  • Set up assembly equipment and tooling to ensure correct sub assembly and final assembly product as per specifications and instructions from Supervisor or Trainer.
  • Detect and report any defective equipment, materials, parts, or faulty operations/planning to your direct supervisor as needed.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with others and maintain them over time.
