Proactive Personnel are thrilled to be working with a global aerospace component manufacturer to recruit for a Mechanical Engineer to join their thriving actuation products team. The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation products, managing the full product lifecycle whilst mentoring and supporting the junior engineers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a design background to join a forward-thinking company who are rapidly expanding and have an integral role within their growth.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERS REQUIREMENTS –

• Ideally educated to degree level within Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related field
• Proven engineering background with strong experience in delivering designs within a highly regulated industry
• Experience designing mechanical/hydraulic products from customer specification using 2D and 3D design tools
• Ideally experience designing gears, ideally within aviation
• Strong integrity with a drive for continuous improvement
• The ability to work well with cross functional teams

• Liaising between internal and external customers
• Developing and modifying design documentation
• Interpreting customer requirements and specifications
• The design of test rigs and equipment
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
• Identifying technical risks
• Using Documentation Control Tools to support engineering changes
• Travel between sites when required
