ESTIMATED PAY RANGE Engineer I: $74,000 - $86,000 Engineer II: $82,000 - $94,000 Engineer III: $90,000 - $103,000 Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000 Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. JOB SUMMARY As a Mechanical Design Engineer in Burnsville, MN, you will: Design mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on sheet‑metal fabrication Create accurate, manufacturable designs using SolidWorks and related mechanical design tools Interpret customer specifications and site requirements to develop practical mechanical solutions Balance customization needs with standardized design practices to improve efficiency and consistency Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the design process Apply strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with relevant codes and standards Manage design documentation, BOMs, and revisions within ERP, PLM, and Engineering Vault systems Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners across the Minneapolis - St. Paul Metro Contribute to projects that impact communities in Burnsville, Savage, Apple Valley, Bloomington, Eagan, Lakeville, and Prior Lake, and the greater Twin Cities Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering required Experience using Solidworks for 3D design Product development/redevelopment experience The ability to source components and work directly with vendors Machine design experience strongly preferred Experience with power distribution and/or electrical equipment a plus SKILLS AND VALUES Capable of working independently and as a team member Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking Effective verbal and written communication Desire to work on a variety of projects ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please consider joining Applied's team of talented employees in Burnsville, Savage, Apple Valley, Bloomington, Eagan, Lakeville, and Prior Lake, Brooklyn Park, and the greater Twin Cities metro area.
