REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in BMU, facade access systems, or lifting equipment.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of structural mechanics, kinematics, and material selection.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and engineering standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in hydraulic and electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, machining, and assembly.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems used in BMU.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Building Maintenance Units (BMU) to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving BMU systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop BMU systems including cradles, monorails, davits, and telescopic booms.
  • Perform detailed 3D modeling and 2D drafting using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
  • Conduct structural and mechanical analysis to ensure durability, stability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers.
  • Perform calculations for load capacity, wind resistance, and stress analysis.
  • Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, EN 1808, OSHA, and other safety and quality standards.
  • Support manufacturing and installation teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct risk assessments and failure mode analysis.
  • Research and implement new technologies and innovative design solutions to improve BMU efficiency.
