THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER WILL: * Validate designs of mechanical coil handling and feeding machines using calculations and solid modeling techniques in SolidWorks software, * Compute necessary engineering calculations for project specifications, * Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, quality policies, and performance standards, * Create drawings, Bill of Materials, and manufacturing process documentation, * Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external customers, * Lead project team to ensure project is completed on time and budget, * Collaborate with Purchasing, Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly Departments to support projects through the build stage, * Support current standard mechanical designs used for customer solutions and provide alternatives for future improved mechanical components and designs. REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent industry experience * 5-7 years in design and development of industrial machinery * Familiarity with manufacturing and machining techniques * Experience using SolidWorks solid modeling software (including Finite Element Analysis) * Strong core competence in math, metallurgy, and properties of materials * Time management and organization skills * Experience in using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook Coe Press Equipment is Proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer
